Outdoor Learning-Space and Community Garden
We have until June 18th to raise the £9000 needed to make this project possible, you can help us raise these funds by donating to our Crowdfunding Campaign or Sponsoring the project.
We are transforming our school-yard into an outdoor learning space, initially working with five local schools and community-groups, all of whom will benefit greatly from ongoing access to arts and environmental programs. The space will be made available to the public evenings and weekends through a program of family and adult workshops.

Workshops with schools & community groups
The outdoor learning space will be built in collaboration with our community partners. We have started running workshops with Essendine and St Peters primary schools, in weave, knit, woodworking, print and mosaics; transforming waste materials (collected from local businesses) into beautiful furniture and planters.
A word from our Community Partners
“We’re looking forward to working closely with Kindred Studios; the arts and environmental workshops Kindred are developing will provide our students with invaluable skills and the opportunity to learn from professional artists.” Lisa Mafrica, Deputy Head Teacher at Essendine Primary School
“The development that Kindred Studios is planning will offer the people we work with a unique opportunity to access high quality arts and environmental programmes delivered by expert facilitators. We are lucky to have this amazing resource developing on our doorstep which will help our students express themselves in new ways and engage further with their community”. Rick Jensen, Service Manager at Pursuing Independent Paths (PiP)
Please support our campaign by giving what you can, we have until June 18th to raise £9000 to allow us to complete the learning space and run a program of 16 free family workshops over the summer.
Sponsors to date:
We are asking that sponsors contribute £600 in cash or goods: plants, timber or art supplies.
