Manos Kalamenios will lead a masterclass demonstrating moulds as creative tools for experimentation, distortion, and discovery. Participants will observe how to make a simple drop-off plaster mould and explore how mould-making can generate variations and unexpected results in ceramic work.

The session offers an opportunity to engage with mould-making as a professional ceramic practice, rarely taught in open-access studios.

About the Tutor

Manos Kalamenios is an award-winning ceramic artist with extensive international experience and teaching expertise. He holds an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the Royal College of Art and has exhibited and collaborated with Tate Modern, the Benaki Museum, and the British Ceramics Biennial. His work focuses on surface, colour, and experimental processes, helping artists push beyond conventional glaze techniques.
