Join artist and musician, Anne Malone for a magical evening of sound healing with gong, singing bowls, chimes, vocal toning, celtic drum, sansula, Koshi bells and rainstick.

Let the transformational vibrations of sound take you on a meditative journey, releasing blockages and stress, quieting the mind, ready to open up creative flow.

We'll finish by connecting with each other over a cup of hot tea, served in the cafe. Please bring a yoga matt and a warm blanket if you need one.

The Zorn Palette is a beautifully restrained approach to painting, using just four colours to create a remarkable range of tones, depth, and atmosphere. Named after Swedish painter Anders Zorn, this limited palette encourages a deeper understanding of colour mixing, value, and light. Join us for a full-day masterclass to explore the technique through guided exercises and sustained painting, whether you’re discovering the palette for the first time or looking to refine your practice.

A fun, interactive taster course by Kindred artist, Jon Rees, exploring how photography can help improve our wellbeing, mental health, connection with others and the world around us. This taster course will profoundly shift your perspective.

Two groups of 10 artists will meet for two consecutive weeks, with the potential to continue meeting afterwards.

Printmaking workshop seated area

Hands-on bookbinding workshop, you’ll learn how to make a beautiful A6 hardback notebook using classic tools, techniques, and materials. You’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of bookbinding, including stitching signatures, creating a hard cover, and assembling your notebook from start to finish. You’ll leave with a wonderful hand-bound notebook along with the skills to continue bookbinding as part of your creative practice. Spaces are very limited.

Please bring £5 cash for teacher, to the cover cost of materials.

Lina Avramidou will take you on a journey through Bookbinding and how the medium can used medium for creative expression. You will explore contemporary bookbinding and book arts, considering how you might use the book within your own practice to incorporate, and present your work in a more physical and tactile format.

You will be introduced to a range of different binding techniques and examples of artists’ books, alongside a series of demonstrations exploring experimental instant books, concertinas, pamphlets, and Japanese bindings.

Introducing Ryan Stanier, the founder of Fair Play Art Fair, a new artist-first art fair rethinking the traditional exhibition model by removing upfront stand fees and creating fairer opportunities for artists. Previously, Ryan founded The Other Art Fair, which grew into the world’s largest artist-led art fair before being acquired by Saatchi Art. With over 15 years of experience championing emerging artists, Ryan will talk to kins about his work, making the art world more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable for both artists and collectors.

Screenprinting workshop

This fast paced hands-on workshop takes you through the full screen-printing process. From degreasing, coating a screen with emulsion, to exposing your image from an acetate and pulling your first prints. Create single colour prints and see why it has been a long standing favourited process by artists and agitators alike. No experience needed. Come with a willingness to get inky. Leave with a print, practical know how and the itch to do it all over again.

A monthly, hour-long session, lead by influential award winning artist and lecturer, Abbas Zahedi, where listening becomes drawing.

Please send any of your own field recordings, 24h before session to mixtape@abbzah.com : a phone voice memo is perfect, nothing more technical needed. Abbas will combine the recordings into a single piece which you will listen to together and all sketch in response to what you hear. No experience in drawing or in sound needed, it's a deeper way into the embodied listening already happening across Kindred, letting noise, composition and drawing blur into one another. Part of Abbas' Stanley Picker Fellowship, and picking up where the last Kindred Support Group left off.

ELEMENTS, curated by Dr Sara Choudhrey, brings together a group of 13 artists whose works demonstrate what abstraction speaks to today.

The exhibition encourages you to rethink what you know of abstraction, who it is produced by, how it may be used as a source of meaning-making, a form of documentation or as a visual language.
